The Corgi has a medium dense double coat and needs to be groomed every 4 with sufficient home maintenance, with more frequent grooming during the shedding seasons of spring and fall when they change coats. As long as the undercoat is removed the outer guard coat will provide shade for your dog.
Special care should be taken when brushing your collie to go all the way to the skin with the proper brush. Corgis shed quite a bit and should be brushed and blown out on a regular basis.
