The Lhasapoo is a designer dog cross between a Poodle and Lhasa Apso. This breed requires a significant amount of frequent grooming. The haircoat will vary, it may be straight and soft, wiry and curly or a combination of both. The coat may be somewhat easy to become matted, especially when exposed to moisture. The Lhasapoo should be completely brushed out at least twice weekly to deter excessive tangling and matting.
Most customers choose a lower maintenance cut such as a puppy cut, however it is possible to keep them full coated with frequent grooming.
If home maintenance is done properly; full service grooming is recommended every 4 weeks, if not professional grooming is recommended at least every 1-2 weeks.
